1. SCOPE OF THE JOB:

  1. This position is responsible for managing the day to day activity of the logistics department to ensure the availability of material for supporting the aircraft maintenance, monitor and control the inventory, and to coordinate with LHT, manufacturers and other airlines, with regards to provisioning/ pooling.


2. PRINCIPLE DUTIES:

  1. To establish materials management Policy and Procedures, issuance of policy directive and instructions in respect of Materials Management

  2. Developed concise, decisive solutions to complex procurement problems that require ingenuity, innovation and adaptability based on thorough analysis.

  3. To ensure Compliance of Company policy related to Materials function covered under quality / MME / SMS.

  4. To develop good network of vendors/other airlines to provide materials support to airline.

  5. To ensure compliance of rule and regulation of regulatory bodies such as regulatory authority of Kuwait, Customs etc.,

  6. Ensure Initial Provisioning of LRU an LMP based on acquisition of aircraft, and also re-provisioning based on fleet acquisition .

  7. Ensure Re- provisioning is done whenever change in the fleet.

  8. Managing and controlling assets like retables and storage equipment in line with finance register.

  9. Developed procedure and system for Warranty Management.

  10. Establishing and implementing procedure and fixing contract for Freight Forwarding and Customs Clearing Agents.

  11. Ensuring reliability of components removed from the fleet and liaising with Airframe manufacturer and OEM for improving reliability of those components.

  12. Manpower planning in accordance with the company requirements, Identifying right staffs and development of materials staffs for effective Materials Management function.

  13. Control & Monitor the stock of supplies, material, expendable spares by establishing and Updating minimum stock levels and economic order levels for all stock items.

  14. Providing AOG support to all line stations which require availability and may work 24 /7 basis

  15. Manage company internal audits (both Finance and technical) and external audits conducted by regulatory authority as well as IOSA.

  16. Perform any other duties that may be assigned to him.

3. PERSON SPECIFICATION (EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS, ETC):


  • • Fifteen or more years of progressive responsibility in supply chain management in Airline industry.
  • • At least 10 years of experience at a Managerial level
  • • Bachelor’s Degree; Master of Supply Chain or Business Administration.
  • • Experience managing a 145-repair station for LRU repairs.
  • • Proven track record involving complex global supply services.
  • • Demonstrated leadership skills in attracting and developing talent and leading cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
  • • Demonstrated ability to manage cost performance and drive improvement.
  • • Extensive experience in the development, negotiation and implementation of contracts, including the management of large multi-national/global suppliers.
  • • Experience in developing and utilizing metrics, both internally and externally, to drive performance.
  • • Demonstrate knowledge and skills on Aircraft lease delivery and redelivery requirement.
  • • Management style characterized by discipline, prioritization, and keeping focus on critical business objectives.
  • • Highly effective leader and communicator possessing excellent interpersonal & analytical skills.
  • • Hands on experience and expertise in aircraft maintenance program, maintenance planning and troubleshooting.
