AVP Sales


  • The job holder will be working closely with VP sales in implementing Sales strategy in all markets
  • Responsible for territory budget
  • Implement aggressive territory’s sales and market strategies
  • Lead, coach and train GSAs, Sales Managers


  • Develop and implement the sales and market strategies to increase existing business via all sales channels, and closely monitor the performance of GSAs and Sales Managers.

  • Identify and analyse market trends and competition

  • Prepare territory’s annual sales budget and sales strategies

  • Manage the territory budget and ensure the sales and revenue opportunities are maximized.

  • Periodically analyse competitors’ fare levels in all markets and whenever possible, endeavour to raise Jazeera Airways’ yield.

  • Determine the growth opportunities to ensure an effective sales and market coverage.

  • Develop and implement sales procedures and policies in line with Jazeera Airways policy.

  • Conduct periodical sales meetings with the Sales Managers, Sales Team and GSAs. Sales meeting should be professionally document by means of minutes of meeting.

  • Follow up with the concerned to ensure the action points from the minutes of meetings are timely actioned and closed.

  • Guide, train, coach and review the performances of the Sales Team and immediately address any shortcomings to derive an effective, high-performance of the team.

  • Prepare periodical reports for VP sales on sales and market growth and/or decline and recommend the necessary changes needed to ensure the desired results are achieved in a rapidly changing, highly demanding and competitive market environment. Reports should include competitors’ activities such as fare levels, incentive programmes, marketing initiatives, etc.

  • Ensure that sales call plans are adhered to by local Sales Managers in all countries.

  • Develop incentive plan (if required) for travel agents/corporate accounts to maintain competitive edge in the market and drive sales and topline revenue.



An undergraduate degree is required, additional credentials such as an MBA are highly desirable


  • 10+ years of experience in airline business

  • 5+ years or experience in leading position in a similar capacity/function

  • Must have completed recognized advanced industry courses in leadership/management and sales

  • Need to demonstrate knowledge of airline procedures and distribution systems
