Commercial Manager – Levant
Commercial Manager - Levant, based out of Jordan, will be responsible to develop, plan and manage sales set-up & sales channels in Levant region. The role holder will manage the activities of the sales team to fulfil market obligations for travel trade, customer and corporate in the region and also promote the Jazeera Airways brand, product and services through the primary distribution channels.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare the sales budgets/ goals for Levant region.
- Develop and implement sales plans and market strategies to increase revenue and market share in Levant region.
- Achieve the assigned revenue & sales targets.
- Determine the growth opportunities to ensure an effective sales and market coverage.
- Develop and implement sales procedures and policies in line with the industry best practices.
- Develops, capitalizes on and maintains effective relationships with external parties of different nature such as travel agencies, GSAs, government departments, ministries, tourism companies, as well as individual agents and trade companies, to enhance business and grow sales.
- Recognizes the unique needs of the assigned region versus JAZ products and services; evaluates flights and fares with Revenue Management (RM) Team, identifies new route opportunities and recommends the same RM with a proper business case.
- Ensure the sales and revenue opportunities are maximized.
- Translates input received from sales teams into recommendations to Regional Manager based on cost/benefit analysis.
- Regularly visit travel agencies / Corporates to develop & maintain relationships.
- Organize Road shows, workshop or joint airline event for the trade, trade presentations, and FAM trips in Levant region to ensure increased branding visibility.
- Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team.
- Oversee and direct performance of the sales team.
- Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing professional networks.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Sales, Management.
- Additional qualification in Aviation/IATA/Tourism is a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
- Working Knowledge of Commercial Systems.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Sales in a Commercial Airline having POS, in Levant Region.
- Good Communication skills in English, Arabic language skills will be an added advantage.
- Must have strong negotiating, influencing, problem solving and decision making skills.
- Team Leadership.
- Ability to priorities and handle multiple tasks.
