Jazeera Airways, Kuwait’s leading low-cost airline will launch seasonal flights to Batumi, Georgia, starting June 2024. With three flights a week, Jazeera is the only carrier to fly direct from Kuwait to Batumi. Batumi, a beautiful seaside city, is the second destination Jazeera will serve in Georgia, after the capital city of Tbilisi.

Jazeera Airways held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) at its headquarters in Kuwait today. During the AGM, the shareholders of Jazeera Airways approved the company’s financials for the year ended 31^st December 2023, reporting a net profit of KD 6.13 million and earnings per share of KD 27.86 fils. Passenger numbers for 2023 were higher by 30.6% at 4.68 million compared to the previous year while load factor also increased to 78.2%.

Operating revenues were at KD 198.08 million with an 8.8% increase compared to 2022 while operating profits were at KD 11.76 million. Passenger numbers increased by 30.6% from 3.6 million to 4.68 million. Load factor grew from 77% to 78.2% while yield declined from KD 47.96 to KD 39.63. However, market share for the airline increased to 36.24% in Kuwait.

Jazeera Airways today announced financial results for the first half (1H) of 2023 with total revenues up 26.1% to KD97.85 million and operating profits of KD9.35 million. Jazeera Airways has achieved a net profit of KD2.3 million for the first quarter (Q1) of 2023, compared to KD 3.8 million in the first quarter of 2022, when the strong demand post-pandemic was reflected in higher fares. Kuwait, August 09, 2022: Jazeera Airways today announced strong results with a net profit of KD7.8 million for the first half (H1) of 2022, compared to a net loss of KD11.7 million in the first half of 2021. Total revenue for the period reached KD77.6 million, up four times from the comparable period, while operating profit stood at KD9.8 million, up 187%. 

Kuwait, July 4, 2022: Jazeera Airways today announced its continued expansion in the Middle East, adding two new routes to its network to serve the touristic cities of Abha and Hail in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The routes will be served with three flights per week.
