Compliance Monitoring Engineer (Airworthiness Review Staff)

 

We are looking for Compliance Monitoring Engineer who is responsible for administering and executing all Safety and Compliance Monitoring Department issues in accordance with company policies & procedures and in compliance with applicable Kuwait DGCA requirements, IOSA SARPs, and other authority’s requirements.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Maintaining and controlling Safety & Compliance monitoring documentation and records system.
  • Coordinating Compliance monitoring meetings.
  • Participating in internal and external audits as well as following closing findings.
  • Reviewing departmental procedures, programs and inter-departmental relationship to improve efficiency and cooperation.
  • Participate in an investigation, as required, on operational issues associated with incidents/occurrences/ significant defects on aircraft/systems reported under the reportable occurrence procedure.
  • Managing Safety risks and Security threats to Safety & Compliance Monitoring Department activities.
  • Liaison with other departments, service providers and appropriate industry bodies on matters related to his / her area.
  • Provides the required statistics, data, and analysis (monthly and annually).
  • Other responsibilities which is related to his/her area of expertise as an authorized ARS such as, but not limited to:
    • Conduct airworthiness assessments of aircraft in the airline’s fleet.
    • Review maintenance records, modifications, and repairs to ensure compliance with airworthiness requirements.
    • Issue airworthiness review report or recommendations for aircraft in compliance with regulatory standards (as an authorized Airworthiness Review Staff).
    • Coordinate with Kuwait DGCA for airworthiness approvals.


Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from aeronautical, mechanical, electrical, electronic, avionics, industrial, or other studies relevant to the aviation.
  • Has at least 05 years of relevant work experience, out of which at least 02 years should be in aeronautical industry in appropriate position;
  • Has knowledge of Kuwait DGCA / EASA regulations and requirements, ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices, Annexes and relevant documents, and IOSA ISARPS.
  • Practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices.
  • Knowledge of a relevant sample of aircraft type(s) /component(s) maintained, demonstrated by training course, or by an assessment performed by the competent authority;
  • Auditing techniques training and root cause analysis methodologies training.
  • Inter-personal, communications and managerial skill with an ability to liaise effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Basic knowledge of incident/accident investigation.
  • Attended Safety Management System (SMS), Human factors (HF), AVSEC trainings.
  • Knowledge of MS Office.
