Repair Officer

 

Jazeera Airways is looking for a Repair Officer to be based in Kuwait, responsible for ensuring the timely availability of repaired materials, tools, and equipment required for aircraft maintenance, major checks, and modifications at the optimum cost. The role involves managing the repair process, tracking turnaround times, and applying warranty claims to protect the best interests of Jazeera Airways.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Ensure all aircraft parts, tools, and equipment requiring repairs or modifications are sent to the repair shop and returned within the agreed turnaround time.
  • Coordinate with Stores and other requestors for item repairs to ensure minimal disruption to maintenance activities.
  • Source suitable repair facilities via RFQs, portal access, or other sourcing methods to meet repair requirements.
  • Create canvass sheets to analyze quotations and release repair orders accordingly.
  • Provide daily status reports for all repair requests and order progress.
  • Monitor Min/Max IP units and reorder levels to ensure continuous availability of essential components.
  • Oversee contracted on-site stock to maintain operational readiness.
  • Work closely with CAMO and Maintenance departments to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of items to/from repair facilities.
  • Assist the finance team with shop visit analysis and invoice approvals.
  • Support the approval process for new MROs and repair shops as needed.
  • Negotiate with repair facilities to optimize pricing and costs.
  • Track and report unserviceable components sent for repair or warranty claims.
  • Ensure warranty claims are applied whenever applicable to reduce repair costs and maximize benefits for Jazeera Airways.


Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of related work experience in aviation repairs, warranty management, and supply chain operations.
  • Experience in aircraft parts, tools, and equipment repairs, BER analysis, and logistics.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain and logistics procedures and practices.
  • Familiarity with EASA Part M, EASA Part 145, and KUWAIT DGCA regulations.
  • Proficiency in interpreting authorized release certificates, shop finding/visit reports, and other aviation-related documentation and certifications.
  • Knowledge of repair shops, OEMs, and MROs, with a focus on capabilities across GCC countries and globally.
  • Understanding of aircraft parts, special tools, and Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
  • Proficiency in using airline application-based ERP systems and spreadsheet software.
  • Financial acumen related to invoice approvals, contract terms, and cost management.
  • Strong command of the English language with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
