UAT Automation Specialist
Jazeera Airways is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented UAT Automation Specialist to ensure the quality and reliability of digital platforms by automating testing processes. This role focuses on implementing and managing automated testing frameworks to evaluate end-to-end customer journeys, system configurations and UX designs.
The Specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, execute, and maintain automation scripts for User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The ideal candidate has experience in building automated testing solutions, specifically in airline or travel industry environments, with expertise in Navitaire PSS and related systems.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Automation Framework Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks to streamline UAT processes across web and mobile platforms.
- Create and manage reusable test scripts to validate system configurations, UX designs, and transactional workflows.
- Ensure automated testing tools and scripts are optimized for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Test Planning & Execution:
- Develop automated UAT plans, including test cases and scripts based on functional requirements and business workflows.
- Conduct regression, performance, and end-to-end testing using automated tools to ensure system quality and reliability.
- Evaluate customer journeys across B2C, B2B, and loyalty tiers, identifying and resolving inconsistencies through automation.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Liaise with internal teams, including Digital Transformation, IT, Marketing, and Operations, to align automation strategies with project objectives.
- Partner with the Website and Mobile teams to ensure seamless integration of automated testing processes.
- Provide stakeholders with insights and updates on automated test results and system readiness.
Defect Management & Optimization:
- Identify, document, and track issues found during automated testing, working with development teams for resolution.
- Retest resolved issues and update scripts as needed to ensure continuous system optimization.
- Continuously improve automation scripts to reflect changes in customer journeys or system updates.
Innovation & Best Practices:
- Stay updated on emerging trends in automated testing tools and technologies, applying them to enhance existing frameworks.
- Identify opportunities to optimize UAT processes through new automation methodologies and tools.
- Advocate for automation best practices within the organization to ensure testing efficiency.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in automated testing, quality assurance or related roles.
- Proven experience in building and managing automated testing frameworks, preferably in the airline or travel industry.
- Familiarity with Navitaire PSS, SkySpeed and related systems is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium, Appium or equivalent.
- Strong programming skills in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java) for creating and maintaining test scripts.
- Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
