Junior Civil Engineer
Jazeera Airways is seeking a Junior Civil Engineer who will be responsible for assisting the Project Team Leader/ Civil Engineer in planning, designing, and overseeing construction projects, creating plans, calculating budgets, and completion timelines and testing environmental impact & materials.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitoring progress of the team, ongoing projects, and work orders.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Conducting on-site inspections for facilities and take the necessary action to keep it in a good shape.
- Supervise fit out, renovation, and expansion projects.
- Creating construction drawings using software like AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Assisting civil engineer in managing projects workflow, including site visits and coordinating with contractors and stakeholders.
- Assisting civil engineer with daily duties, from designing structures to inspecting facilities and following the project.
- Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications
- Assess potential risks, materials and costs.
- Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems/deficiencies.
- Oversee and mentor staff and liaise with a variety of stakeholders
- Handle over the resulting structures and services for end-users.
- Monitor progress and compile reports in project status.
- Assisting civil engineer in managing budget and purchase equipment/materials
- Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety etc and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Proven experience (2-3 years) in civil engineering, preferably in infrastructure or construction, renovation projects in Kuwait.
- Experience in Facilities management field is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and techniques.
- Proficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, 3D, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and standards governing civil engineering projects.
- Familiarity with construction materials, methods, and techniques.
- Experience with project management software such as Primavera or Microsoft Project is a plus.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to industry best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Professional in English and Arabic languages.
