The Polish Embassy in Kuwait in collaboration with Jazeera Airways today announced the launch of the first direct flights from Kuwait to Krakow. Her Excellency Anna Marta Godoj-Ciszkowska, Charge d’Affaires, Embassy of Poland, State of Kuwait joined Barathan Pasupathi (Bara), Chief Executive Officer, Jazeera Airways to address a press conference earlier today.
H.E. Godoj-Ciszkowska explained, “Today marks not just the commencement of a flight, but the bridging of cultures, and the strengthening of ties between two remarkable destinations. Kuwait and Krakow, though separated by miles, share a common thread - a rich tapestry of history, culture, and heritage. Krakow is the historical capital of Poland. It’s a city which represents unique heritage, richness in cultural offer, pleasant urban greenery, countless legends and delicious local cuisine.”
Starting from 11 June 2024, Jazeera Airways will operate two direct flights a week to Krakow making it an ideal choice for both vacationers as well as the Polish community going home to family and friends. Currently, the shortest flight option is almost 10 hours through connections. With Jazeera Airways, travellers can reach Krakow in half the time.
Bara explained, “Jazeera Airways is pleased to launch direct flights from Kuwait to the charming urban city of Krakow, which has one of the world’s first UNESCO World Heritage sites. Krakow as a new destination has been driven by market demands for a diversified summer offering. It has a rich mix of history, architecture, cuisine, culture and beautiful natural sights.
We are seeing strong summer demand for Krakow and delighted to introduce this service just as Poland and Kuwait mark almost 61 years of strong bilateral ties.”
H.E. Godoj-Ciszkowska also highlighted, “This flight not only represents a physical link between two cities, but also symbolizes the spirit of cooperation and collaboration, as it opens a world of opportunities for both Kuwaiti and Polish citizens. It also symbolizes the commitment of Jazeera Airways towards promoting connectivity and fostering closer ties between our countries. I would like to thank Jazeera Airways and their team for this huge establishment of connecting both countries, and may this flight be the beginning of unforgettable experiences and lasting memories.”
