UX/UI Designer

 

Jazeera Airways is seeking a skilled and innovative UX/UI Designer to create seamless, user-centered digital experiences across the organization’s platforms. In this role, you will gather user requirements, design compelling interfaces, and lead user experience initiatives that align with the airline's business objectives. Your work will directly impact customer satisfaction by enhancing the usability and functionality of Jazeera Airways’ websites, mobile apps, and other digital touchpoints.

With a focus on collaboration and innovation, you will work closely with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to ensure all design solutions are intuitive, visually appealing, and aligned with brand standards.

Responsibilities and Duties:

User Research & Analysis:

  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to gather and evaluate user requirements.
  • Conduct comprehensive user research to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
  • Use insights to inform and refine design solutions.

UX Design & Prototyping:

  • Create storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps to illustrate design ideas.
  • Develop user flows, wireframes, and prototypes that clearly demonstrate how systems function and look.
  • Design navigation elements, such as menus, tabs, search fields, and buttons, ensuring usability and accessibility.
  • Conduct usability testing to identify and resolve UX issues.

UI Design & Development:

  • Design graphic user interface elements, including widgets, tables, and page layouts.
  • Create original graphics, images, and designs to support digital platforms.
  • Ensure responsiveness and consistency across devices, adhering to style guidelines for fonts, colors, and images.
  • Use tools like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Figma to produce high-quality visual designs.

Collaboration & Presentation:

  • Prepare and present design concepts, mockups, and drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, IT, and E-Commerce, to deliver user-centered solutions.

Innovation & Mentorship:

  • Stay updated on the latest UX/UI design trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering professional development and design excellence.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Establish metrics to evaluate API performance, uptime and transaction success rates.
  • Monitor middleware systems to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on API utilization, project progress, and performance improvements


Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a UX/UI Designer or in a similar role.
  • Proven track record of designing intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for web and mobile platforms.
  • Experience in the airline or travel industry is a plus.
  • Proficiency with design tools like Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, InVision and Photoshop.
  • Expertise in creating wireframes, prototypes, and responsive designs.
  • Strong knowledge of user research methodologies and usability testing.
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
